Sony PlayStation Vita finally chosen as the new name for the successor to Sony PSP handheld console. Let’s do further investigation to the ability of PlayStation Vita which means life in Latin.
From the variants, there are available in two versions of Sony PlayStation Vita. First, the version that only uses the Wi-Fi and priced at USD 249. While equipped with 3G connectivity for the price of USD 299.
As quoted from Engadget, Tuesday (06/07/2011), armed with a 5-inch OLED panel, this portable console wrapped in plastic materials that make it more lightweight than the PSP but it feels heavier than smart phones in general.
The start button, select and power is now designed with a glossy shiny material, with a combination of plastic materials. Compared to the PSP or joystick Dualshock 3, the general appearance of the directional keys seems smaller but still comfortable to grip.
In the back, there are connection ports such as USB or network cable. Transparent button on the far right and the left was not much different from previous versions of PlayStation.
The difference from which previous version is PlayStation Vita has a touch screen buttons which designed for multi-touch on the back. Some new games can utilize this feature.
For graphical issues, PlayStation Vita appears to have the same quality with the PS3. By specification, this handheld console has a processor ARM Cortex A9 (core) CPU, SGX543MP4 + GPU, as well as six-way motion sensing system.
