Ford motor is currently setting up a machine with the capacity of the smallest ever in the line-up which is 1,000 cc 3-cylinder. This machine will add the line up of EcoBoost machines that environmentally friendly, owned by Ford.
As reported by Reuters on Saturday (06/04/2011), Ford will introduce his new machines in the next 2 years. Ford guarantees although this machines only has 3 cylinders, engine performance is not much different from the 4-cylinder machines but with that more economical fuel consumption. This is conducted by Ford in anticipation of increased fuel prices and federal government regulations about gasoline consumption.
"We keep try to look for improvement in fuel efficiency side," said Head of Product Development Derrick Kuzak Ford.
Apart from this 1,000 cc machines, Ford also currently were develop his own hybrid transmission. Today hybrid transmissions in Ford cars are supplied by Japanese manufacturer named Aisin. Moreover, Ford is also preparing his first 8 levels of acceleration transmission system.
Actions are taken by Ford to comply with demands of the U.S. government that later in 2016 the cars in the U.S. U.S.
